Swami Chatbot : The Kerala government has introduced the “Swami Chatbot,” an AI-powered assistant created to help Ayyappa devotees travelling to Sabarimala, in order to provide them a smooth experience.The Kerala government claims that the “Swami Chatbot” will serve a wide spectrum of devotees by providing information in six languages, including Tamil, as well as updates on temple timetables, train, and airport services.

This would provide pilgrims with up-to-date information on weather and transit options.Additionally, it would give followers access to police, fire, ambulance, and forest authority emergency phone numbers, according to Collector Krishnan.

Devotees can access the ‘Swami Chatbot’ by sending a text message saying “Hi” to 6238008000.

The chatbot will provide devotees with temple-related information, such as

  • Timings for opening of sanctum sanctorum
  • Pooja schedules
  • Travel-related details for airports and railway stations
  • Coordinate services from key departments like the police and forest departments

  • Forest authorities
  • Food safety and more

“The Swami Chatbot is available via a smartphone interface and provides a wide range of services in six languages: English, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada,” said Prem Krishnan S., the district collector for Pathanamthitta.In order to efficiently arrange their visit, pilgrims can utilise the chatbot to obtain information on temple opening times, prasadam availability, and pooja schedules.

To ensure smooth travel for devotees, the Collector further stated in a press release that the chatbot offers directions to neighbouring temples, airports, train stations, and bus stops.Given the likelihood of mishaps and crises during the busiest pilgrimage season, the Swami Chatbot is an essential safety feature.
